Educational wall paintings, winter 2010
During the winter of 2010 a first small-scale fund-raising was held for the Mbirizi school. Friends and acquaintances collected 620 euros, with which local social worker Fulgensio Katoche was able to have some renovations done and educational paintings on the outer walls of the school.
Apparently, the paintings increase the value of education in the eyes of many children and their parents. Since the paintings have been done, the school has welcomed 70 new pupils!
